Peyton entered the dark common room and sat in her favorite chair in front of the fire. She stared into the flames and got lost in her own thoughts.

Andrew was snoring softly in a big chair at the other end of the common room, but abruptly stopped and opened his eyes while rubbing them at the noise that the newcomers into the common room had made.

She leaned back in her chair and drifted off to sleep to the sounds of the crackling flames and the soft murmer of her fellow classmates.

Peyton shook her head to clear the fog of sleepyness. "Hi Kevin, I'm Peyton." She got up from her chair to shake his hand. "Hello Kayla, I hope you guys don't mind, but this is going to turn in to a sleep fest." She looked at their questioning looks. "Homework I mean." She returned to her chair. "I'm slamed. Potions, DADA, and Charms. I'm going to be here all night if I don't fall asleep first." She giggled nerviously. "I'm stalling, I really don't want to finish this Potions essay." She set to work anyway.
