Yasmine, a fifth year Ravenclaw was in her dorm, applying the finishing touches to her Yule Ball outfit. Not wanting to be too traditional, she added a necklace with a red apple shape on and a red rose-shaped ring to her black dress.

Sarah, a sixth year Slytherin was in the girls dorm of the Slytherin Common room, dressing into the red dress that was as red as blood, she loved the dress and put on some normal, easy-fitting shoes that were appropriate and waited for her partner to come escort her.

Matthew Caellach was a sixth year Slytherin, he was dressed in a dark green suit, with black trousers and polished leather shoes. He walked down from the boys dorm into the common room.

Hearing footsteps, she jumped right infront of the portrait, maybe it was Matthew, her Yule Ball date.

Yasmine didn't wait for any of her friends, but clattered outside and remembered that her date would meet her by the dungeons. Odd place to meet up, but whatever. Realising that she would probably break an ankle in her heels, she tried a spell that could make them flat for a while, which worked reasonably well.
She ran to the dungeons, only to find a slightly miserable Sarah, a friend looking glum.
"Don't worry, I'm waiting too!" Yasmine smiled.

Chrystal Montgomery, a sixth year Ravenclaw, opened the door of her common room, stepping out into the corridor in her midnight blue gown and silver heels. She had been asked to the Yule Ball by a Gryffindor boy. Unfortunately he wasn't the... nicest guy in Hogwarts but it was her only invitation and she really wanted to go so she had no choice but to accept. Turning up alone would be more than she could handle.
