I was 9 years old. I was bored, I found the first book on my moms bed, so I picked it up and started readng. I couldn't put it down!

I remember my Dad reading it to me when i was like 7 but eventually i was reading them myself as they came out.

I was 6 or 7 when I read the first book. I was about a year or so before the first film came out.

I read Chamber first when i was like 9 then read them all in order after that.
Read them all loads of times now.

i was 22. i've never actually read the books, just listened to the audio books on my commute to work. i've got a large collection of audio books now, but the harry potter series is my favorite because jim dale really brings the stories to life.

i was 17 and in rehab. got bored and borrowed the entire series from one of my friends there. read em all before i left!

I was eight-years-old and I remember finishing this book within days. This was what sparked my passion in reading and eventually in writing...and I'm glad that I decided to give Harry Potter a chance.

I was 4 or 5. I remember I kept running to my brother's room asking "what does this mean?! Does that mean he survived? What the hell?" Hehe.

i was in 3rd grade so that'd be age 9 i think. i understood the majority of it, & the book was what got me started on big books

I know!And what's weird, is that at the end of the potions master chapter, I was like, 'OMG, why is Snape so mean!It's not fair!He deserves to be dunked in 1000 galleons of cement!'And then I cried for 15 minutes. My dad has it on tape. And now Snapes my favorite character, and like him cement free!
